Sindh to Launch Digital School Admission System for Students

The Sindh government has launched a major education reform by introducing a digital admission system for government and government-assisted schools across the province. The new initiative aims to improve transparency, eliminate fake admissions, and create a centralized digital database for every student.

Under the new system, each student will receive a unique digital identity linked with their NADRA-issued B-Form. This digital profile will securely store important academic information, including admission details, attendance records, examination history, and school transfers, making it easier for education authorities to manage student data.

Officials say the project is being developed with the technical support of NADRA, ensuring that every student’s identity is verified before enrollment. By connecting admissions with the national identity database, the government hopes to prevent duplicate enrollments, fake registrations, and errors in school records.

The digital admission process has already started in 600 government schools as part of the first phase. After reviewing its performance, the system will gradually be expanded to cover all public schools across Sindh, creating a province-wide digital education network.

Another important feature of the system is its ability to track students who change schools or drop out of the education system. This will help the School Education and Literacy Department identify students who leave school early and improve planning for enrollment campaigns, resource allocation, and educational reforms.

Sindh Education Minister said the introduction of technology will reduce manual paperwork, improve administrative efficiency, and ensure that school data remains accurate and up to date. The minister added that digitization will also support better policy-making by providing reliable educational statistics.

Education experts believe the initiative is an important step toward modernizing Sindh’s public education system. A centralized digital database can help reduce administrative delays, improve student record management, and strengthen monitoring of government schools.

Parents are expected to benefit from a more transparent admission process, while schools will be able to verify student information more efficiently. The digital system is also expected to improve coordination between educational institutions and government departments.

With NADRA’s technical support and the phased rollout already underway, the Sindh government aims to build a secure, transparent, and technology-driven education system that ensures every student has a verified academic record from admission through graduation.

As the project expands across the province, officials believe it will become one of the most significant digital education reforms in Sindh, improving governance and helping authorities make better decisions based on accurate student data.
