No student from any institution managed by the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has secured a position in the official FBISE SSC Part-II First Annual Examination 2026 position holders list.
The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) announced the top achievers from the Science and Humanities groups, with seven students securing positions. However, none of the successful candidates belonged to Islamabad Model Schools and Colleges operated under FDE.
The official position holders list showed that students from Army Public Schools, Fazaia Inter College, Cantonment Board institutions, and other private educational institutes dominated the top ranks.
In the Science Group, the first position was secured by Afeera Ijaz with 1,089 marks. Other top positions went to students from Army Public School & College Girls Pasban, Army Public School and College Muzaffarabad, and Fazaia Inter College Jinnah Camp.
The Humanities Group also saw strong performances from non-FDE institutions. Fatima Zahra achieved the first position with 1,037 marks, while Muhammad Maaz and Manaal Zahid shared second position after securing 1,031 marks each.

The remaining position holders represented institutions including CB Public Girls School & College Wah Cantt, Institute of Islamic Sciences Islamabad, DHA Senior School for Girls Lahore, and Pakistan Education Academy Dubai.
Although some of these institutions are public-sector or defence-linked schools, they are not directly controlled by the Federal Directorate of Education. The FDE operates a large network of schools and colleges in Islamabad, including Islamabad Model Schools and Colleges, but no student from these institutions appeared among the FBISE SSC Part-II top achievers.
The result has drawn attention toward the academic performance of FDE institutions and the growing competition among educational networks affiliated with the Federal Board. Education experts often highlight that achieving board positions depends on several factors, including teaching quality, student preparation, examination strategies, and available academic resources.
The FBISE SSC Part-II results provide an important benchmark for schools across Pakistan and abroad. Each year, the position holders list highlights institutions producing exceptional academic performances and encourages schools to improve their educational standards.
For FDE schools, the latest results may encourage further focus on academic improvement, teacher training, and student support programs to compete for top positions in future FBISE examinations.
