The Punjab Education Department has officially announced summer vacations for all public and private educational institutions in Murree and Kotli Sattian. The decision was issued through an official notification to provide relief to students, teachers, and school staff during the warmer weeks in the hill regions.
According to the notification, all schools in the two tourist destinations will remain closed from July 18 to July 31. Regular academic activities will resume on August 1, when students and teachers return to classrooms after the short summer break.
The announcement applies to government schools, private schools, and other educational institutions operating under the jurisdiction of the Punjab School Education Department. School administrations have also been directed to ensure compliance with the vacation schedule.
Although Murree and Kotli Sattian usually experience cooler weather than the plains, the provincial government periodically adjusts the academic calendar to protect the health of students and staff. The break also allows schools to complete maintenance work before the new academic session continues.
Education officials said the temporary closure is part of routine planning aimed at maintaining a safe and comfortable learning environment. Parents have been advised to keep in touch with their respective schools for any updates regarding reopening or revised academic schedules.
