Punjab Launches New E-Transfer Phase for Eligible Teachers

The Punjab School Education Department has announced a new E-Transfer round to facilitate promoted teachers and those awaiting regular postings. The latest decision aims to ensure that pending promotions are implemented quickly and vacant teaching positions are filled through a transparent online process.

According to the official notification, eligible teachers who could not complete the earlier transfer process will now have another opportunity to submit their applications through the School Information System (SIS). The department has directed all teachers to complete the process within the prescribed timeline to avoid delays in posting orders.

Teachers are advised to complete their applications before the deadline, as late submissions will not be entertained.

The School Education Department has instructed all Chief Executive Officers (District Education Authorities) to ensure that every promoted teacher is properly tagged in the SIS Portal. This step is necessary for teachers to become eligible for the online posting process.

The department has also issued an important warning for applicants. Teachers who submit fewer school preferences than required or fail to submit any preferences at all may not receive a posting of their choice. Instead, the department will automatically assign them to any available vacant post through the SIS Portal.

The same policy will also apply to teachers who are awaiting postings. If they do not complete the preference selection process correctly, they will be placed wherever vacancies exist across the district or relevant area.

Officials have advised teachers to carefully review their information before submitting applications and ensure all required documents are available for verification. Any incorrect information or incomplete application may delay the issuance of posting orders.

The E-Transfer system is designed to improve transparency, reduce manual intervention, and ensure that teacher transfers and postings are carried out on merit through a digital process. Eligible teachers are encouraged to monitor updates on the SIS Portal and follow the official schedule to avoid missing this opportunity.
