More than 86,000 students achieved A-1 and A grades as the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) announced the SSC Part II (Matric) Science Group Annual Examination 2026 results. The outcome reflects another strong performance by students across Karachi.
According to BSEK, 176,152 candidates registered for the examination, while 175,200 students appeared. Out of them, 141,688 candidates passed all papers, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 80.87%. Meanwhile, 29,655 students could not clear the examination.
A total of 35,529 students secured the prestigious A-1 grade, while 51,022 students earned an A grade. In addition, 34,910 students received B grades, 17,153 obtained C grades, 3,060 achieved D grades, and 14 students passed with an E grade.
Among the top performers, Mohammad Azlan Syed of Falcon House Grammar School, North Karachi, secured first position with 94.55% marks. Rija Kamran of Apex School, Model Colony, claimed second position with 94%, while Ayesha Adnan of Usman Public School Campus 1 finished third with 93.91%.
During the official BSEK result ceremony, the board awarded Rs. 200,000 to the first position holder, Rs. 150,000 to the second, and Rs. 100,000 to the third. Merit certificates were also presented to outstanding students from the Science Group, General Group, and special education category.
BSEK Controller of Examinations Ahmed Khan Chhutto said that 91,481 male and 84,671 female students appeared in the Science Group examinations this year. Students can access their detailed marks through the official Karachi Board result portal and obtain their marksheets from their respective schools according to the board’s schedule.
